I started this blog to share what running a small business in Lagos, Nigeria actually looks like, not the polished version, but the real one. The power outages that eat into your profit margin. The trip to register a business with CAC. The first attempt at Facebook ads that didn't quite go as planned. The WhatsApp groups that slowly turned into a real customer base.
Most business advice online is written by people who have never actually dealt with a NEPA bill, a Lagos landlord, or a customer who wants to pay by transfer when the network is down. I wanted this blog to be different. Everything I write here comes from things I've genuinely done, tried, paid for, or gotten wrong, not theory borrowed from an article written for a different country's economy.

Why I Started This
I got tired of reading business advice that assumed things Nigerian entrepreneurs don't have the luxury of assuming, reliable electricity, easy access to credit, or a market that behaves like the ones in the examples. I started writing down my own numbers and experiences, and realized other small business owners here were dealing with the exact same things and searching for the exact same answers.
So this blog is part journal, part guide. I share what actually happened, with real figures where I can, so you can make better decisions with your own business, without having to learn every lesson the hard way yourself.
